About the Author, Kristina Woodward

Kristina Woodward is a rising star in young adult fantasy, weaving epic tales that blend celestial mythology, heart-wrenching family bonds, and the resilient spirit of those who overcome insurmountable odds. Born in a coastal town in Massachusetts, followed by the sights and smells of the low country in Charleston, Kristina’s imagination was shaped by the ancient stones of her travels through the Alps as a child, a place she describes as “a bridge between earth and the heavens.” Her stories pulse with the grandeur of archangels, the cunning of demons, and the raw, transformative power of superhuman abilities, all grounded in the deeply personal struggles of family and self-discovery.

Kristina’s passion for storytelling was ignited by her fireside tales of celestial warriors and forbidden loves, passed down through generations. These narratives, coupled with her fascination with the eternal battle between light and darkness, inspired her to craft worlds where ordinary teens unlock extraordinary powers to confront both cosmic forces and personal demons. Her debut novel, Constellation of the Stars, introduces readers to a band of siblings who discover their angelic heritage on the windswept slopes of Mont Saint-Michel, only to face a demonic conspiracy that threatens their family and the world. Critics have praised her ability to “seamlessly blend mythic grandeur with the raw emotion of adolescence (Someone needs to say this 😉) .

Drawing from her own experiences of overcoming adversity—Kristina infuses her characters with resilience and hope. “I write for the kids who feel like the world is too heavy,” she says. “I want them to know they have a spark inside, a power that can light up even the darkest nights.” Her stories often explore themes of found family, the courage to forgive, and the strength to rise above, all set against backdrops of celestial wars and ancient sanctuaries.
When she’s not writing, Kristina can be found wandering book stores, a pastime that needs vitalization or volunteering with her high school to inspire the next generation of storytellers. She holds a degree in English and Publishing from Belmont University and currently resides in a quaint home in Charleston, where the sea’s whispers fuel her next adventure.

My name “Kristina Woodward” evokes celestial and mythic tones (Kristina being a moon of Jupiter, and Woodward suggesting a vein of storytelling). The book Constellation of the Stars is imagined as a fitting title for a novel blending starry mythology and heroic journeys. K incorporated Mont Saint-Michel as a key influence, drawing on its historical and spiritual significance as a site linked to Archangel Michael.
